My Journey: From Sydney to California

It all started with Saturday Disney. Those early mornings in Sydney before mum and dad woke up. Little did I realize my secret love for California that was growing. 

Fast forward 20 years and here I am, living in California. But getting here was anything but easy.

I started out applying for jobs online from Sydney. Only to get the same frustrating results many Australians experience. No responses and generic rejections. But I knew there had to be a way, so I stayed determined and started thinking outside the box.

In 2013 I organized a 10-day trip to San Francisco. I wanted to see the city for myself, get a feel for the culture and start building connections.

I’ll never forget walking on the waterfront looking up at Coit Tower and thinking if I don't move, I'll regret it for the rest of my life.

I returned to Sydney with a clear goal and a plan to make it happen. I landed a job with Deloitte in San Francisco, even when people told me it wasn't going to be possible. I packed my bags and made the leap. I said to myself just do it... you can always go back to Sydney.

And WOW.. what an unexpected ride it's been!

I’ve had many E-3 visas and am now proud to call myself a US citizen.

I built a successful career in recruitment and that's where I discovered my passion for helping people to find incredible opportunities.
I'm a mum to 3 AusAmerican kids.

Now I'm running Aussie Recruit, a business I love where I get to help fellow Australians land jobs in the US.

I get it. I’ve been there.

I know what it’s like to be an Australian needing a visa, trying to navigate the US job market.

I’ve also spent years working as a recruiter in America so I understand what employers want.

I’ve lived it, worked it and now I help others do the same.

Why I created this course

I created this course to give Australians everything they need to land jobs in the US. Without feeling overwhelmed or wasting time on things that don’t work.

Over the years, I’ve coached hundreds of Australians 1:1, helping them secure jobs across a wide range of industries. I’ve seen firsthand what works, and I’ve turned those proven methods into a step-by-step system you can follow.

This is the course I wish I’d had. It’s designed to save you time, help you avoid common mistakes and give you a clear plan to land your job.
