I created this course because I know how hard it is to land a job in the US as an Australian. I’ve lived it myself. And I know what it takes.
My Journey: From Sydney to California
I know the struggle of chasing the American dream and hitting wall after wall.
I lived it.
From Sydney, I sent out countless applications to US companies. The responses were always the same: silence and rejection. It was exhausting and discouraging.
Instead of giving up, I chose a different path. In 2013, I booked a 10-day trip to San Francisco. I explored the city, met people and built connections.
On the waterfront, looking up at Coit Tower, I made a decision. I had to act.
Back in Sydney, I created a plan. Within six months, I secured a role with Deloitte US. That leap changed my life.
Since then, I’ve held multiple E-3 visas, become a U.S. citizen and built a career in recruitment.
I’ve lived both sides of the journey. First as an Australian navigating visas and the job search and later as a recruiter inside US companies.
I understand the challenges. I also know what employers want.
Today, I run Aussie Recruit. Over the years, I’ve helped thousands of Australians land jobs in the U.S.
